Trust
Trustworthy, reliable and honest, inside and out
How Telli 5 scores answers, keeps people safe, handles your data and earns its money, in plain words.
The Reliability Factor
A score from 0 to 100 on every Evidence answer, built from how strong the sources are and whether two separate AI checkers found each cited sentence supported by its source.
- Shown with its method. Every score names the method that made it. Today that is ri-2: Reliability Index rules, version 2.
- Never changed quietly. Any change to how scores are made gets a new version name, so you always know which method scored an answer.
- Never for sale. No partner, advertiser or vendor can raise or lower a score or a source grade.
- Not a probability of truth. The score shows how well the sources checked for an answer support its claims. A high score means strong, independent sources agree; it doesn't mean the answer can't be wrong.
Safety comes before any answer
Every message is screened first. If someone may be in danger, Telli 5 stops being a search tool and helps them reach a person.
If you or someone near you is in danger, call 911 now. In the US you can also call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
Your conversations are yours
We keep what's needed to run Telli 5 and nothing for its own sake.
- Chats you choose to sync between your devices
- Memory items, only if you turn memory on
- Usage counts and timing, without the words of your messages
- Comments you add to a thumbs-down
- The text of the documents and photos you attach
- Health details, ID numbers or passwords in memory
- Any sale of your data, or ads aimed at you personally
- Your question or chat history sent to the fact checkers
Telli 5 uses outside AI providers to write and check answers. Which providers, how long they keep data, and how to download or delete yours will be set out in our privacy policy.
